‘Better Beauty Swap’ revealed by Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market has unveiled the ‘Better Beauty Swap’ initiative in efforts to encourage customers to swap to clean beauty products.

Until 3rd October, customers will be able to recycle their used or full conventional skin, face or body care products instore and in return will receive a 25% discount to spend on their beauty shop at any Whole Foods Market store.

With their voucher, customers will be able choose from Whole Foods Market’s range of clean beauty and body care products, which are subject to high standards including a ban of over 180 ingredients. The retailer’s panel of experts also regularly review the latest research on beauty and body care ingredients to consider the impacts on the environment and human health.

All beauty products which are full or partially full will be collected by charity Toiletries Amnesty and donated to homeless shelters and hostels, women’s refuges, mental health services, NHS Trust services and other organisations to ensure they do not go to waste, instead going to those in need. The empty product containers will be recycled.
